Knežević: Prosecutor's Office to investigate the procedure of granting Montenegro Airport concession

The DNP leader claims that the government will lease the airports to the South Korean company "Incheon International Airport Corporation", and that it should be investigated whether this is a payment for that country's silence about possible connections between Do Kwon and Prime Minister Milojko Spajić.

The leader of the Democratic People's Party (DNP) Milan Knežević called on the prosecution to investigate everyone in the government, whether the granting of a concession for Montenegrin airports to a South Korean company is paying for that country's silence about possible business ties between Do Kwon and Prime Minister Milojko Spajić.

Knežević said this in a Facebook post, which he claims he used to inform the public about the conspiracy to complete the sale of Montenegrin airports.

"I call on the Montenegrin prosecutor's office to investigate everyone both in and outside the government, starting with me - are we actually paying for the silence of the South Korean state and judicial authorities by giving airports to the South Koreans regarding Do Kwon and his possible business ties with Milojko Spajić? Are the Zeta and Tivat airports actually a dowry for the South Koreans because no one has yet found out what the relationship between Spajić and Do Kwon was like," he pointed out.

Do Kwon is a South Korean cryptocurrency entrepreneur who was arrested in Montenegro in late March 2023 and extradited to the United States in late 2024. He pleaded guilty to charges of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and wire fraud and was sentenced to 15 years in prison in that country.

In the race for the concession of the Tivat and Podgorica airports, the South Korean company "Incheon International Airport Corporation" (IIAC) was ranked first with 96,18 points, while the Luxembourg-American company "Corporación América Airports" (CAAP) was in second place with 65,15 points.

Knežević pointed out that yesterday's resignation of the member of the Board of Directors of the Airports of Montenegro (ACG), Stefan Madžgalj (PES), removed the last obstacle for the current head of the Ministry of Transport, Filip Radulović, to submit a proposal at the session today or tomorrow for the South Koreans to receive a concession over the airports.

Due to Madžgalj's resignation, the ACG Board of Directors must be reappointed, while it was previously headed by President Jelena Maraš (DNP).

"In this way, they also removed the president of the Board, Jelena Maraš, who was opposed to ACG being under concession from the South Koreans or anyone else and who stated in a New Year's interview that the decision on the concession can only be made by the Parliament. Hence this speed and intention to achieve another sale of Montenegrin property through the coordination of Radulović...", he emphasized.

Spajić allegedly exerted pressure

Knežević stressed that at a parliamentary majority meeting in July last year, after the first vote on the concession when the Italian-Argentine company was scored higher than the South Korean company, Spajić put pressure on the leaders of the parliamentary majority and the Tender Commission to repeat the vote and change the results so that the South Koreans received the concession.

He said that this should worry everyone in Montenegro and that it was not an afterthought by the DNP, because they had said from the start that airports must remain in state hands.

"As I said at the meeting, I want to repeat that someone here took the money. Someone took the money and someone, due to past sins, accepted that South Koreans, who are operating at a loss and who have never worked anywhere in Europe, would be granted the right to Montenegrin airports and that in this way we would begin to round off Montenegro as a colonial state. If we add to that the agreement with the United Arab Emirates regarding energy, plus the agreement that exists with Alabaster, it is clear to you that we will no longer have anything to sell and leave as a pledge to our children," Knežević pointed out.

"DNP personnel threatened"

Knežević announced that in the coming days he will also inform the public about all those who, by official duty, should be involved in covering up the affair of physical and misogynistic threats suffered by DNP staff, especially women in the government, about which, he claims, they regularly informed Spajić and his then Chief of Staff Branko Krvavac.

"The Montenegrin public will have the opportunity to learn how reports of violence at the Security Center were hushed up, how treatment in Dobrota was fabricated, and how physical threats were tolerated all along. No one in the DNP will mourn or cry for positions, because principle and image are more important to us than any office or position," said Knežević.

He claims that his duty was to inform the public that a corrupt handover, not the sale of state interests and airports to the South Koreans, was being planned.

"I call on the prosecution to react by first hearing me and then everyone else, in the coming period I will continue to expose all the wrongdoings in the government. As our slogan says - we will not step back from what are the vital interests of the state. We do not have reserve states, we do not have foreign tutors, we do not listen to embassies, and we have not arranged the theft of state property in Dubai or other destinations," Knežević emphasized, adding that they want to stay and live in Montenegro and that they have no backup plans.

Therefore, as she states, she will continue the fight by presenting precise data and hoping that the Special State Prosecutor's Office will react to this and future information about the DNP women who suffered threats - and that these people should already be in prison according to the Criminal Code, and that the affairs are not being covered up.

He announced that in the future, he will record and publish conversations with party officials in the DNP studio.
