It is a scandalous fact that since the beginning of January, it has been impossible to register a company in Montenegro, make any company changes, or complete activities in the field of registering employment relationships without hindrance, said the Civic Initiative 21 May.
They said that the agony continues with software that was inefficiently installed for the needs of the Tax Administration and that cost over ten million euros.
"The accounting service is often interrupted, the registration of employment relationships is carried out sloppily and with confusing data, while the register of business entities is dead. It has been almost a month and a half since the project of digital services related to the Tax Administration has been in a chaotic or dysfunctional state. At the same time, there is no possibility of carrying out registration and recordkeeping tasks that are within the jurisdiction of the Tax Administration in any other way," the statement said.
GI 21. maj assessed that the damage caused to the economy and investment businesses is undoubtedly significant, although there is no measurable data.
"The government is silent, the Tax Administration is silently trying to relativize the unprecedented situation, while business associations and unions have 'buried their heads in the sand'. No one is taking responsibility for the collapse of the digital reform that has made legal business in Montenegro difficult or impossible," the statement concludes.
