The Government of Montenegro has adopted a decision on the declaration of public service obligations in air transport - PSO (Public Service Obligation), which declares the provision of regular air transport on six international routes from Podgorica in the period from June 1, 2026 to May 31, 2030, to be in the public interest.
The decision covers the lines Podgorica-Brussels, Podgorica-Frankfurt, Podgorica-Paris Charles de Gaulle, Podgorica-Amsterdam, Podgorica-Zagreb and Podgorica-Bari, which will be operated between specific airports in these cities.
PSO is an arrangement in which the state offers subsidies to airlines through public procurement, so that those who win the tender are obliged to operate air transport on precisely specified routes for a certain period of time, for a certain fee.
According to the decision, regular air traffic on the declared routes will be operated to varying extents, depending on the destination.
Flights are planned throughout the year on the routes Podgorica–Brussels, Podgorica–Amsterdam, Podgorica–Zagreb and Podgorica–Bari, while the routes Podgorica–Frankfurt and Podgorica–Paris Charles de Gaulle will operate during the winter season.
