DPS Podgorica: Velje Brdo is a lie from the Government, construction of a settlement has not begun, but rather an imagined, not designed, boulevard

The Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) Podgorica councilors' club announced that Velje Brdo is "a blatant lie by the Milojko Spajić government," and that construction of the settlement has not begun, "but an imagined, not designed, boulevard."

"That Milojko Spajić's government is blatantly lying was also shown yesterday - when the leaders of the Europe Now Movement stood up to pompously congratulate citizens on the start of work in the Velje Brdo settlement. That work on the construction of the complex has begun is just as true as what the Prime Minister announced - that the first residents will move in by mid-2026," the Podgorica DPS announced.

They add that there is no citizen of Montenegro who believes in moving into the complex in the middle of the year, "around which an imagined, not designed, boulevard has just begun to be dug."

"There is no citizen of Montenegro who believes in moving in mid-year, when, according to the admission of the company Vodovod i kanalizacija DOO Podgorica, there are no conditions for connecting Velje Brdo to the water supply and sewage system. Moving in mid-year, and there is no plan for new excavations for all installations? Moving in mid-year, and there is no project to relocate or raise the height of existing power lines, nor to harmonize them with the continuation of the highway, which goes in the direction of the imagined boulevard."

The DPS adds that "that is why there is a Government of Montenegro that openly lies, deceives and manipulates."

"The fact that this government only and exclusively applies the principle - everything for a chair, a chair for nothing, is also evidenced by the example of Director Nišavić, who, despite the opinion of the company's expert team expressed a year ago, in order to preserve his position, dared to announce a strategy that would find water and solve the problem of wastewater drainage. If the post-August 30th liberators can write a strategy for anything, then it is for blatantly lying to the public. Since there is no location study, hydrogeological testing, or permits or consents, it is clear that Radoš Zečević's shady dealings in the Kamenolom case are the practice of this government, not an isolated case, and it is clear that the government's lies cannot be masked even by going to the construction site without adequate protective equipment, directed by MP Nedović," it was announced.

They also note that "all this hysteria coming from the ranks of PES in an attempt to defend the big lie - Velje brdo, only shows that PES is irreversibly sinking...".
