Every future strategic step of the Government of Montenegro will be aimed at improving the air accessibility of our country, said the Prime Minister of Montenegro Milojko Spajić.

"This means more direct routes, better connectivity to key European and global destinations, as well as more competitive conditions for airlines operating in our market. Our goal is not only to develop tourism, but also to create concrete benefits for the citizens of Montenegro - easier and more affordable travel, greater opportunities for business cooperation, as well as strengthening the overall economy," Spajić wrote on the X network.

This morning, a Wizz Air plane took off from Podgorica to Malmö, and this is just one of 17 new routes from Podgorica Airport that will be open by mid-June.

Other routes will connect the capital of Montenegro with Paris, Hamburg, Maastricht, Catania (Sicily), Bratislava, Barcelona, ​​Basel, Rzeszów, Rome, Baden-Baden, Cologne, Ljubljana, Poznan, Vilnius, Gdansk and Wroclaw.
