EPCG and EDF intensify partnership

Elektroprivreda (EPCG) and Électricité de France (EDF) will intensify their partnership by defining concrete steps in the implementation of joint projects, with a special focus on the Kruševo hydroelectric power plant (HP) project.

Representatives of EPCG, Chairman of the Board of Directors Milutin Đukanović, Executive Director Zdravko Dragaš and Executive Head of the Development and Investment Directorate Ivan Mrvaljević held a meeting with representatives of EDF, Laurent Paganon, Director for Europe, Central Asia and the Middle East, and Yann Guinard, Vice President of the International Sector of EDF.

"Key topics discussed included the regulatory framework and support mechanisms, the development of necessary studies, the technical development of the project, as well as the preparation of a joint development agreement," the statement said.

Also, they discussed possibilities for cooperation in the field of BESS systems and renewable energy projects, in accordance with EPCG's investment plans.

The interlocutors emphasized the importance of coordination with competent institutions and international financial partners, confirming mutual commitment to further strengthening the partnership and implementing strategic energy projects.

EPCG and EDF remain, as assessed, strongly committed to the further implementation of joint projects, while intensifying activities to define concrete steps and models of cooperation.

"Both sides expressed their readiness to continue coordination with competent institutions and international partners, in order to ensure efficient preparation and successful implementation of planned energy initiatives," the statement concluded.
