Budva Democrats assessed that the statement by the President of the Municipality of Budva, Nikola Jovanović, in the morning program of Television Vijesti that the Tivat-Budva boulevard would not be completed by the summer season was not a surprise.
"He stated this in the hope that the boulevard would not be completed, in order to cover up his inability to initiate anything, let alone complete it, in the territory of the Budva municipality. This statement is not a surprise - it is just another confirmation of the complete inability of the current authorities in the Budva municipality to initiate and implement any serious project in the territory of the municipality. Where are those garages, promenades, roads and everything else promised in the program support," the statement from the Budva branch of the Democratic Montenegro reads, adding:
"Come on, President, let's at least see 3D animations that you can do very quickly and easily with the help of artificial intelligence. The reason is that your 'expert' secretaries have not announced a single tender this year for the development of any project, and all because they cannot even write a project task, and maybe they don't even know what it is. All you have done since you have been at the head of the municipality is installing and replacing metal fences at container stations, and all of this was done with the help of a welding machine and an angle grinder. When you don't have a single project of your own whose deadlines you would follow, which you would open, complete and ceremonially cut the ribbon at the beginning of the tourist season, then you deal with other people's projects and rejoice when they are late with a justifiable reason," the statement reads.
But, as they point out, unfortunately for Jovanović, all four lanes will be paved and there will be no congestion, and that is the most important thing.
"Budva deserves a serious, hard-working and responsible government that builds, not a government that just criticizes other people's projects and moves containers. Citizens have already seen this - and are seeing it more and more clearly," the statement said.
