The Railway Infrastructure of Montenegro (ŽICG) announced that the State Treasury paid them 3,75 million euros for January, February and March 2026, in accordance with the Multi-Annual Contract and the Annual Annex for 2026.
Thus, the preconditions have been created for the workers of this state-owned company, about 800 of them, to receive the March salaries they have been waiting for since the beginning of the month.
As several sources from the company told "Vijesti", according to the collective agreement for ŽICG, salaries should be received by the 15th of the month, while the Labor Law stipulates that they are paid once a month. Some of the dissatisfied workers with whom the editorial team spoke announced about ten days ago that they would take more radical measures if their salaries were not paid.
Railway Infrastructure announced on Tuesday that they had signed a multi-year contract with the Government on public infrastructure management for the period from January 1, 2026 to December 31, 2030, which is being concluded between the Government - the Ministry of Transport and the Railway Infrastructure of Montenegro, thus ensuring the preconditions for more than 800 workers to receive their March salaries.
The coordinator of the Ministry of Transport, Filip Radulović, said yesterday in the Parliament that ŽICG workers will receive their March salary today.
