The Municipality of Budva unblocked the account by borrowing 2,2 million euros from three municipal companies, thus enabling the payment of salaries to workers.
The President of the Municipality of Budva, Nikola Jovanović, confirmed to "Vijesti" that 715 thousand euros were borrowed from Mediteran Reklama and 400 thousand from the city's Waterworks, headed by members of the political group "Budva Our City".
A loan agreement for 1,1 million euros was also concluded with the company Parking Servis, headed by a member of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS).
As stated in the loan agreement that Vijesti had access to, these are interest-free loans.
"The Borrower undertakes to repay the borrowed amount to the Lender no later than May 17, 2026. Repayment can be made in a lump sum or in installments," the loan agreement with Parking Servis states.
The account of the Budva Municipality was blocked for 5,6 million euros after the forced collection of a final court verdict.
The President of the Municipality of Budva, Nikola Jovanović, announced earlier today that the account of the Municipality of Budva was unblocked in an express manner, which, he said, eliminated all attempts to cause a standstill in the work of the local administration and create artificial problems in the functioning of the system.
