Vraneš: 10 kilometers of asphalt for Bobovo

The Municipality of Pljevlja announced that the modernization of the road to Bobovo had been discussed for decades, but that concrete work only began last year when the Municipality of Pljevlja paved the first meters of asphalt.

"This year, we will pave 10 kilometers of the road to Bobovo. 500,000 euros have been provided for this route from the municipal budget and 280,000 euros from the state capital budget. Yesterday, we sent a letter to the Ministry of Agriculture in order to provide additional funds within the state agro-budget - development of infrastructure in rural areas for 2026. Our local company DOO 'Lokalni putevi Pljevlja' will begin carrying out preparatory work on the route next week in order to use the provided money as rationally as possible and improve the quality of the road. Our engineers have visited the terrain, a study has been done, and before paving, it is necessary to rearrange critical points in order to reduce the slopes on certain sections," said the Mayor of the Municipality, Dr. Dario Vraneš, after the meeting, which was attended by the departmental secretary, Vul Macanović, as well as representatives of the locals, Velimir Jelovac, Đorđe Soković, Rajko Džuver, Milomir Starčević, Radovan Golubović, and the president of the Local Community, Dimitrije Jelovac.

Bobovo, as added in the statement, is the local community from which the most money has undoubtedly flowed into the state and municipal budgets for decades.

"Tens of millions of cubic meters of the highest quality coniferous wood were exploited from Bobovo, hundreds of millions of euros went to the State and the Municipality, and the decades-long injustice towards this village in Pljevlja, which covers 10 percent of the territory of the Municipality of Pljevlja, must be corrected. By asphalting the road, the benefits will not only be felt by the residents of Bobovo, but also by all citizens, because a huge tourist potential that has not been used so far is opening up. We will not waste time and are already thinking about opening a bus line to the Bobovo Local Community in the fall after the completion of the works and the acquisition of conditions. I am sure that this area will experience a revival, a championship in the field of tourism and agriculture. We will continue to invest in Bobovo, we promised that and we will fulfill it. The road to Bobovo is not a new topic, only in the last thirty years, on several occasions, during the DPS election campaigns, the reconstruction of the road began, which would usually end after a few days, and the unfulfilled promises to the people of Bobovo continued in the next election campaign. The first concrete results were achieved last ", when the first meters of asphalt were installed before the 150th anniversary of the Bobovska Rebellion," said the Mayor of Pljevlja.
