Revenues from games of chance continued their positive growth trend during the first four months of this year, reaching 15,64 million euros, which is 24,98 percent more than in the same period last year.
The Gambling Authority announced that the highest revenue was generated in the online gambling segment, amounting to 6,93 million euros, with a growth of 32,61 percent.
"Revenue from betting games reached 3,75 million euros, which represents an increase of 12,88 percent, while games of chance in slot clubs generated revenue of 3,62 million euros, with an increase of 49,83 percent compared to the comparable period," the statement said.
Revenue from casino games amounted to 1,26 million euros, a decrease of 17,75 percent.
"The results achieved so far this year confirm the positive impact of the implementation of the Law on Games of Chance, which has further improved control and supervision mechanisms, increased market transparency and created conditions for more efficient revenue collection," the statement added.
Additional stability to the system, as they explained, was brought by the full implementation of the Gaming Authority's information system, which enables reliable monitoring of organizers' operations and financial flows in real time.
The continuous operation of the system and the connection of all organizers to the platform have significantly contributed to more efficient supervision and the growth of budget revenues on this basis.
"The recorded results confirm good coordination and cooperation with the Ministry of Finance in implementing Government policies in the field of games of chance, especially in the area of digitalization of processes, improvement of the regulatory framework and strengthening of institutional capacities," the statement said.
The Gaming Authority, as its representatives said, will continue to improve the supervision system and strengthen the transparency and stability of the gaming market.
