The Tax Administration (TA) collected 632 million euros in gross budget revenues from the beginning of the year to April 30, which is 32 million euros more than in the same period last year.
The Tax Administration said that the achieved results confirm a stable trend of collection growth, as well as continuous improvement of tax discipline and system efficiency.
"169 million euros were collected on the basis of value added tax, which is 1,7 million euros more than last year," the statement said.
The collection of corporate profit tax, as specified, amounted to 191 million euros, which is at last year's level.
When it comes to the collection of contributions, it amounted to 157,3 million euros, which is an increase of 30 million euros compared to the previous year.
"The Tax Administration particularly emphasizes the importance of a partnership with taxpayers, through continuous education, timely information and support in the application of tax regulations," the statement said.
The Tax Administration concluded that by strengthening trust and transparency, the goal is to further improve voluntary compliance with tax obligations and create a stable fiscal framework that contributes to overall economic development.
