1,35 million euros for improving the tourist offer

The Ministry of Tourism and the National Tourism Organization of Montenegro are implementing the Program of Incentive Measures in the Field of Tourism for 2026, which envisages the implementation of seven targeted support measures aimed at improving the competitiveness of the destination, developing a year-round and diversified tourism product, with a special emphasis on the north of Montenegro, the Ministry of Tourism announced.

The total financial resources for the implementation of the Program for 2026 amount to 1.350.000 euros, of which the Ministry of Tourism will provide 630.000 euros for measures within its jurisdiction.

The Ministry of Tourism is implementing four measures aimed at more balanced regional development, improving the quality of the offer, and encouraging digitalization and innovation in tourism:

• Measure I: Support for the organization of events/festivals

• Measure II: Improving the offer and raising the quality of services in rural tourism

• Measure III: Improving the quality of the tourist offer

• Measure IV: Supporting the development of smart and sustainable tourist destinations through digital and innovative solutions

The National Tourism Organization of Montenegro is implementing three measures aimed at promoting the destination and increasing tourist traffic:

• Measure V: Support for the development of MICE tourism

• Measure VI: Partnership with tour operators and travel agencies in promoting Montenegro as a tourist destination

• Measure VII: Support for the promotion of organized air arrivals through joint marketing campaigns with tour operators

They add that, in cooperation with the Development Bank of Montenegro AD, beneficiaries of measures II, III and IV will be provided with access to a credit line through the project "Investment Loans to Support Tourism Projects - Grant Plus", in accordance with the bank's credit policy and criteria.

Simonida Kordić's department says that public calls for all measures will be available on the websites of the ministry and the National Tourism Organization of Montenegro.
