Representatives of the Employment Service (ZZZ) and the Employment Agency of North Macedonia signed a Memorandum of Cooperation, further strengthening regional cooperation in the field of labor market and employment policy.
The memorandum was signed by the directors of the Macedonian Agency and the Montenegrin Institute, Adnan Ejup and David Perčobić, during the official visit of the ZZZ delegation to their Macedonian colleagues in Skopje.
"On this occasion, the joint commitment to the exchange of experiences, expertise and good practices in the creation and implementation of active employment measures, as well as strengthening the capacities of both institutions in providing modern and efficient services to unemployed persons and employers, was highlighted," the Institute announced.
Perčobić assessed that an important step has been taken towards stronger regional connectivity of labor market institutions, deepening institutional cooperation and improving employment policies at the regional level, with the common goal of creating more efficient services, greater employment and better support for citizens, especially young people.
During the working meetings, representatives of the two institutions discussed improving cooperation in the area of active employment policy, with a particular focus on the Youth Guarantee program, digitalization of services, and strengthening institutional capacities.
The experiences of Montenegro in implementing the Youth Guarantee pilot project in the municipalities of Nikšić, Bijelo Polje and Ulcinj were presented, with an emphasis on the inclusion of young people in active employment policy measures, faster activation and linking education and the labor market.
As part of the visit, a presentation of the work of the Employment Agency of North Macedonia was also held, with a special focus on the implementation of the Youth Guarantee as an important instrument for reducing youth unemployment, as well as on the processes of digitalization and modernization of services, aimed at greater efficiency, transparency and accessibility.
