The government is in favor of increasing the salaries of all workers in Montenegro, Prime Minister Milojko Spajić reiterated, commenting on whether there is any news regarding the negotiations on the General Collective Agreement (GCA).
When asked by journalists at Vila Gorica whether there was anything new regarding the OKU, since he had previously announced that he expected a new round of negotiations with social partners, he replied that the Government fully supports the increase in wages, but for all workers in Montenegro.
"We will not make any distinctions between the public and private sectors, that will not happen during the term of this Government. When employers and unions find a solution that suits, in my opinion, the interests of the state and the citizens of Montenegro, we will absolutely accept it," Spajić said at Villa Gorica, where he met with representatives of the European Investment Bank (EIB).
The OKU, on which the labor rights of around 100 thousand employees who do not have sectoral contracts depend, has expired, and after failed negotiations to conclude a new one, the unions organized a protest in front of the Government.
