A Call for project proposals has been opened within the LEAD2Growth project - Initiative for Rural Development and Growth based on local community initiatives, intended for civil society organizations and local initiatives that contribute to the sustainable development of rural areas in Montenegro, the Rural Development Network announced.
This organization is launching a call, in partnership with the organizations Cooperation for Development and the Agency for Local Democracy, with the support of the European Union and co-financing from the Ministry of Regional Investment Development and Cooperation with NGOs of Montenegro.
"Through the Local Development Empowerment Fund, initiatives that contribute to rural development, green innovations and environmental protection, social and societal innovations, as well as digital, educational and cultural projects will be supported. Special emphasis is placed on initiatives that generate income in the community and strengthen local partnerships in accordance with the LEADER/CLLD approach. The total budget of the call is 350.000 euros, while individual grants range from 10.000 to 30.000 euros and can cover up to 100 percent of eligible costs. The duration of the projects is from six to 12 months," they said.
Civil society organizations registered in Montenegro that have existed for at least 12 months and have an annual turnover of less than 60.000 euros can apply for the call.
Projects are being implemented in the municipalities of: Andrijevica, Berane, Bijelo Polje, Kolašin, Mojkovac, Rožaje, Gusinje, Plav, Pljevlja, Šavnik, Plužine, Petnjica, Žabljak, Nikšić and Danilovgrad.
