Minister of Maritime Affairs and Coordinator of the Ministry of Transport, Filip Radulović, announced that work on the second section of the highway from Mateševo to Andrijevica is expected to begin at the end of May or at the very beginning of June.
He made this statement while speaking at the R:ED conference being held in Budva, according to a statement from the Ministry of Transport.
Radulović also announced that a tender for the construction of a bypass around Podgorica would be announced by the end of the month, emphasizing that this is also one of the priority infrastructure projects. He also pointed out that the implementation of the bypass project around Budva is also planned, which, according to a statement from the Ministry of Transport, will significantly contribute to better traffic flow and relieve congestion on city streets, especially during the tourist season.
Speaking about the issue of airport concessions, Radulović said that the final decision will be made by the parliamentarians. He stressed that, even if a concession arrangement is not made, the state must continue to invest in the development and improvement of the airport infrastructure, in order to ensure better business conditions and better quality service to passengers, the statement said.
