The total quantity of purchased cow's milk in the first quarter of this year amounted to 7,28 million liters, which is 10,9 percent more than in the same period last year.
Monstat announced that the average milk fat content in the first quarter, compared to the comparable period, decreased by 1,9 percent, while the protein content increased by 0,8 percent.
"In the first quarter of this year, compared to the same period last year, there was an increase in the production of fermented dairy products of 18,7 percent and cheese of 4,4 percent, while a decrease was recorded in the production of drinking milk of 18,4 percent, cream of 16,4 percent and sour cream of 4,8 percent," the statement said.
