Monteput: Memorandum of Understanding signed for the development of section A2-2 of the Adriatic-Ionian Highway

Monteput General Manager Milan Ljiljanić and the Development Director of the French company Bouygues Travaux Publics Benoit Lanz signed a Memorandum of Understanding today for the development of the A2-2 section of the Adriatic-Ionian Highway, from the Čevo interchange to the Krivošije interchange, Monteput announced today.

"This is a section approximately 16 kilometers long, which will connect two important main routes - Cetinje - Čevo and Lipci - Grahovo, and represent a significant step towards better connectivity of the central and coastal parts of Montenegro. The implementation of this project will enable a more direct and efficient connection between Podgorica and Grahovo, the Bay of Kotor and the border with Croatia. The journey from Podgorica to Herceg Novi, which is currently about 145 kilometers via Nikšić, would be shortened to approximately 100 kilometers via Cetinje and Čevo," the statement states.

Monteput added that the planned route includes eight bridges and viaducts with a total length of about 2,9 kilometers, and that the Čevo and Krivošije interchanges will enable the highway to be connected to the existing main network.

Representatives of Montenegro and France signed several agreements and memorandums.
