Butorović: Through a partnership between institutions and the economy, we can improve the business environment and develop tourism

Inspection services, in addition to their control function, play an important role in preventive action and education of business people, and through a partnership between institutions and the economy, the best results can be achieved in improving the business environment and developing tourism.

This was stated by the Minister without Portfolio in charge of relations with the Parliament and the President of the Coordination Body for the Harmonization and Monitoring of Inspections, Milutin Butorović.

Butorović, together with the advisor to the President of the Coordination Body, Andrej Vučeković, met with representatives of the Center for Rural and Ecological Development of Montenegro, led by Mičo Blagojević, as well as with representatives of the Cluster Center for Rural Tourism from Bar, led by Željka Krivokapić-Milićević.

"The meeting discussed the challenges that business people face during inspections carried out by inspectorates operating within the Coordination Body, as well as the possibilities for improving cooperation between state institutions and business entities," the statement said.

It is stated that it was particularly emphasized that the preventive and advisory activities of inspection services are of great importance for the development of legal and sustainable business, which, through timely guidelines and support, can help businessmen to align their business with legal regulations.

"At the same time, the importance of consistent application of the law and effective suppression of unregistered business was emphasized," the statement added.

Butorović pointed out that inspection services, in addition to their control function, play an important role in preventive action and education of business people, and that through a partnership between institutions and the economy, the best results can be achieved in improving the business environment and developing tourism.

As the president of the Coordination Body for Harmonization and Monitoring of Inspections, he emphasized that there will be zero tolerance towards all forms of the shadow economy, unregistered business and other illegal activities that violate equal conditions in the market.

Butorović pointed out that the goal of such an approach is to protect businessmen who operate in accordance with the law, create fair competition, and further facilitate the work of registered supervised entities.

Vučeković announced the preparation of an informative overview of the documentation and obligations that businessmen need to fulfill in accordance with applicable regulations, in order to facilitate their business operations and communication with the competent authorities.

Blagojević said that they are ready to continue cooperation with state institutions.

"Businessmen want to operate in accordance with the law and it is important that they have clear information and support in that process. We believe that through dialogue and cooperation, solutions can be found that will contribute to the further development of tourism and local communities," said Blagojević.

He reminded that the Center for Rural and Ecological Development of Montenegro has an advisory service that all interested businessmen can contact, and that the Center will forward their requests, initiatives and questions to the competent institutions.

Krivokapić-Milićević pointed out the importance of continued support for the development of rural tourism and stressed that it is necessary to continue cooperation between all relevant stakeholders in order to create the best possible conditions for the development of the tourism offer.

"The interlocutors assessed that the meeting was useful and constructive and expressed the expectation that such talks would contribute to further strengthening cooperation between state institutions and representatives of the tourism sector in Montenegro," the statement said.
