Social Council: Social partners conclude that it is necessary to continue social dialogue and negotiations

The social partners have jointly concluded that, despite the fact that the General Collective Agreement (GCA) has not yet been signed, it is necessary to continue social dialogue and negotiations in order to achieve the best compromise, the Social Council of Montenegro announced today.

"The 12th regular session of the Social Council was held today, at which one of the key topics was the status of social dialogue in the absence of a General Collective Agreement (GCA). After a constructive discussion, the social partners jointly concluded that, despite the fact that the General Collective Agreement has not yet been signed, it is necessary to continue social dialogue and negotiations in order to achieve the best compromise," the statement states.

The Social Council added that it has been agreed that an extraordinary session of the Social Council will be scheduled for the period from June 18 to 22, and that it will be attended by the Prime Minister of Montenegro Milojko Spajić or an authorized representative of the Government, in order to try to find a solution on the topic of the General Collective Agreement and the calculation value of the coefficient.

"In the meantime, the Working Group for the General Collective Agreement will continue its work with the aim of further dialogue and preparation for the Council session. The working group meeting is scheduled for Monday, June 15," the Social Council said in a statement.
