This season, the municipal company "Parking Servis" has leased, in order to provide sufficient parking spaces in the very heart of the city, a roughly constructed underground two-story garage of the future five-star hotel with apartments for the market, "Radisson Collection", of the company "ALK nekretnine" of the Bajramović family, right on the promenade in Budva.

Director of “Parking Service” Dragan Pim, as well as representatives of ALK real estate confirmed to "Vijesti" that they have concluded a contract this season, under the same conditions as last year.

Unfortunately, the Municipality of Budva failed to implement a key investment project in time for the season, the construction of two prefabricated garages near the Old Town, which would have completely solved the problem of lack of parking during the peak summer season. The tenders have only just been concluded, so the implementation of the project itself is questionable, considering that the Government has suspended the Temporary Facilities Program for the territory of the Municipality of Budva, based on which the construction of 5,5 million euros worth of garages was planned.

"The contract has been signed, and the conditions are the same as last year, which means that there was no increase in the rent. The parking lot has been brought to its intended purpose," representatives of ALK real estate told "Vijesti" without providing details of the contract, but that the address is "Parking service".

The director of "Parking Servis", Dragana Pima, confirmed that a contract has been concluded with ALK, which provides an additional 210 parking spaces.

"In preparation for the season, when we have 1.000 new parking spaces in Budva through the implementation of zoned parking, our company has secured an additional 210 parking spaces in the very heart of the city through the lease of a garage with the company ALK nekretnine. The garage is adapted for its intended purpose, marked with horizontal signage and illuminated with a secured access road and a well-maintained driveway," Pima pointed out in a response submitted to "Vijesti".

As she emphasized, the garage was rented for the period from June 1 to October 1 of this year, under the same conditions as last year.

"In this way, we are entering the new season prepared and responsibly, following the needs of our fellow citizens and all those who come to Budva," said Pima.

This is a hotel construction site, which on one side, where the toll ramp is located, "exits" onto the lower boulevard, and on the other side frontally occupies almost a hundred meters of the Slovenska obala promenade.

Last season, when the contract was also concluded, and despite the opposition's insistence, it was never disclosed or presented to the public, ALK Real Estate told "Vijesti" that the unfinished facility was safe according to all rules.

"Vijesti" then published the offer of ALK real estate, which was submitted to the then board of directors of the municipal company, according to which they requested a three-month lease of the garage, and this was paid to them in the end, a total of 100 thousand euros.

As stated in the offer, the lessor's obligation was to install lighting, fill the ramp, i.e. align and stabilize the access ramp, and prevent unauthorized passage or entry.

With the new contract, Parking Servis leased the aforementioned garage for four months.

The Parking Service did not respond to questions about whether the municipal company had concluded another contract with an individual or a company ahead of the summer, as was the case last year, regarding the lease of a location intended for a parking lot.

Recall, "Vijesti" announced two weeks ago that just as they had somewhat stabilized their financial situation and reached for a loan, the Municipality of Budva announced a tender for the selection of contractors for two key investment projects, which it planned to implement this year - the construction of prefabricated garages, and the road across the Grđevica River, in anticipation of the summer season.

The administration, headed by the Mayor of the Municipality Nikola Jovanović, boasted in a video clip that it had issued a public call for the construction of prefabricated garages according to the model, as stated in the document that "Vijesti" had access to, "design and build", for which 5,45 million euros, including VAT, will be allocated from the city treasury. The opposition criticizes the city administration for having an empty treasury and for having spent 20 million in an uneconomical way.

Namely, it concerns the construction of two prefabricated garages, one on a plot in front of the "Merit Starlit" hotel, 4.500 square meters of gross area, and the second prefabricated garage would be in the parking lot in front of the "Mogren" hotel, which would have 5.500 square meters of gross area. Both locations, physically separate, in the very neighborhood, are located in the very center of the city, about a hundred meters from the Old Town.
