By the deadline for harmonization with the new Law on Business Companies, more than 23.500 companies had submitted a request for harmonization, announced Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economic Development, Nik Đeljošaj.
"Given the estimates that there are around 30 active companies operating in Montenegro, almost 80 percent of companies have fulfilled their legal obligation, confirming the responsible attitude of the economy towards reforms that improve the business environment and align it with European standards," Đeljošaj said in a statement.
He appealed to the remaining active companies to complete the harmonization process and fulfill their legal obligations as soon as possible.
"We thank business entities and competent institutions for the successful implementation of this important reform process," said Đeljošaj.
