The Board of Directors of the Electric Power Company of Montenegro has appointed electrical engineer Ivan Starovlah as director of the Pljevlja Thermal Power Plant, as confirmed to "Vijesti" by several sources.
Starovlah comes to the helm of the Thermal Power Plant after almost a decade of work on the design, construction, maintenance and management of complex power facilities and projects. He graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Montenegro in Podgorica, majoring in Energy and Automation - Power Systems.
As announced by EPCG, Starovlah has been part of the Pljevlja TPP team since March 2023, and since February 2025, he has served as deputy manager of the environmental reconstruction project of this energy facility.
"In the period from January to July 2026, he was the coordinator of the team responsible for conducting cold tests, hot tests, eliminating identified deficiencies and implementing plant performance tests. The new manager of the Pljevlja TPP is a member of the Chamber of Engineers of Montenegro and has almost ten years of work experience in the power sector," it was announced.
