Almost 11 percent more passengers at Tivat Airport in July, capacity at its peak

Tivat Airport has achieved a turnover of 782.888 passengers from the beginning of the year to August 1st, with a total of 8.209 aircraft take-offs and landings. The number of passengers served in the first seven months of this year increased by 10,6 percent compared to the same period last year.

During July this year, a total of 292.868 passengers passed through the two terminals of Tivat Airport, which is 10,9 percent more than in the same month last year. On the runway next to the Tivat Bay, 2.831 aircraft takeoff and landing operations were recorded in July, which is a 7,7 percent better result than in July 2025.

Tivat Airport achieves such results by maximally engaging its employees in extremely limited infrastructure conditions and with long-exceeded capacities in the terminal building, but also on the platform, whose total of seven parking positions for commercial aircraft of categories C and D are sometimes not enough to simultaneously accommodate all aircraft flying towards Tivat, especially in conditions of traffic disruptions and delays for any extraordinary reason.

Tivat Airport currently has 245 flights per week at the peak of the season at the beginning of August, which is 15 flights more than at the same time last year. The busiest day of the week is Sunday, when 40 planes land on the runway in less than 14 hours (that is, during daylight hours, as Tivat Airport is not certified for night traffic), while the lowest number of daily flights is 31, on Mondays.

This airport currently operates regular and seasonal flights, or charters, to 54 destinations in Europe and the Middle East. The Serbian national airline Air Serbia is the number one airline in terms of the number of weekly flights from Tivat, with 47 weekly flights from Tivat to Belgrade, Niš and Kraljevo. The second busiest airline is the Montenegrin national airline Air Montenegro, which currently operates 41 flights per week from Tivat Airport to five destinations in the region and Europe during the peak season, followed by the British low-cost airline EasyJet, which operates 24 weekly flights from Tivat to five destinations in the UK, Switzerland and Germany.

The busiest route from Tivat is to Belgrade, where Air Montenegro and Air Serbia currently operate 68 weekly flights, making this route the most frequent of all the routes operating from airports in the former Yugoslavia.
