Business associations in Montenegro are ready to, through mutual cooperation and synergistic action, influence decision-makers even more strongly in the direction of improving the environment for the work of their members, Montenegrin companies, it was announced at the meeting of business association leaders held in the Chamber of Commerce.
They believe that it is necessary for the business community to be timely involved in the work on regulations governing the business environment, and that in the phase of its formation.
The meeting, chaired by the president of the Chamber of Commerce Vlastimir Golubović, was attended by representatives of the PKCG and representatives of the Employers' Union, the Association of Managers of Montenegro, the CEO Forum, the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) and the Council of Foreign Investors.
The participants assessed that their business associations are on the same task of protecting the interests of member companies, so they discussed the modalities of future cooperation, which, they believe, should be adequately structured and with clear priorities.
Golubović suggested that a coordination body be formed from representatives of all business associations that will consider topics of importance for the economy and articulate common attitudes of associations towards decision-makers at the state and local level. In order to achieve as direct a dialogue as possible with the holders of legislative and executive power, the possibility of organizing a Parliament of companies in which representatives of all business associations would participate was considered.
"The meeting preliminarily discussed labor legislation, business environment, dual education, digitization and gray economy, key topics of the Montenegrin economy, which will be discussed in more detail at future working meetings of association representatives," PKCG announced.
