The government proposed to the Assembly to appoint Branislav Prelević, a former member of the RAE Board, as the chairman of the Board of the Energy Regulatory Agency.
In the explanation, it was stated that the Government approved the proposal to appoint Prelevic, a graduate economist, as the president of the RAE Board, bearing in mind that he meets all the conditions stipulated in Article 35 of the Law on Energy and the competition.
"In addition, when determining this proposal, the Government took into account that the proposed candidate has rich work experience in his profession, both in expert and consulting jobs, as well as in management and management jobs, that he has been serving as a member of the RAE Board since July 2011. year, that he is an active participant in international organizations in the field of energy and that in his view of the state and development of the regulatory process in the energy sector of Montenegro, he gave guidelines that could contribute to the further development of the regulatory process in the Montenegrin energy sector, which is why he is convinced that the duty for which it is proposed to perform successfully," the explanation of the proposal states.
The competition for the election of the president of the RAE Board was announced at the end of March last year. The Government previously told "Vijesti" that the election of the president has been postponed until now due to procedural reasons.
In addition to Prelevic, the previous president of the RAE Board, Miroslav Vukčević, Momir Škopelja and energy inspector Blagota Novosel, also applied for the competition for the president of the RAE Board.
According to the Law on Energy, the president and members of the RAE Board are appointed by the Assembly at the proposal of the Government. Their mandate lasts for five years.
The Board of the Agency consists of two members and the president, and decisions are made by majority vote. The RAE board makes, among other things, decisions on the regulatory allowed income of energy companies, on the basis of which electricity prices are determined.
A new Board of Directors of the Agency for the Promotion of Foreign Investments has been appointed, which will include adviser to the Prime Minister Vladimir Beratović, head of the Directorate for Foreign Investments in the Ministry of Economy Boris Rebić and head of the Department for Support and Monitoring of Development Projects in the Secretariat for Development Projects Maja Vuković.
Elmedin Rovčanin, a law graduate, was appointed acting secretary of the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare. Mirza Mulešković, head of the Department for International Cooperation and Projects in the Union of Employers of Montenegro, was appointed as a member of the Management Board of the Agency for the Peaceful Resolution of Labor Disputes.
