The main committee of the Democratic People's Party at today's session gave full support to the leadership of the Party and the Democratic Front to persevere in the boycott of the work of the Parliament of Montenegro, as well as in the clarification of all events related to the alleged coup d'état of October 16, according to the announcement of this party.
"GO DNP also supported the intensification of further activities to promote the campaign of the Alliance of Military Neutral States (B4), as well as the necessity of organizing a referendum on the issue of Montenegro joining NATO. Any other exclusive solution would further polarize and destabilize the already fragile socio-political situation in Montenegro Gori. The main board of the DNP strongly supported the territorial integrity of Serbia, and its readiness to be the bearer of the idea of the Alliance of Military Neutral States, especially emphasizing the position from the DF election campaign that Kosovo and Metohija are an integral part of the Republic of Serbia," the statement said.
It is added that the GO DNP expressed its full support for the efforts of DNP president Milan Knežević in advocating for a unified appearance of the opposition at the beginning of next year in the upcoming local elections in Nikšić, as well as at the state level for the presidential elections in 2018.
"The Main Board of the DNP approved the adoption of the Financial Report on the Party's operations for 2016 as well as the Financial Plan for the coming year 2017. At today's session of the Main Board of the DNP, Nikola Jovanović was elected president of the DNP Youth Club," the statement concluded.
