SNP: Does Grbalj live in the 21st century without roads, water or electricity?

Councilor candidates from the election list "You can trust us - SNP dr Branko Baćo Ivanović" held a press conference in front of the premises of the local community in Radanovići under the title: "Let's bring the 21st century to Grbalj".

"We are in front of a building that was supposed to be a public building for the needs of the municipality, but now it is the office of the local community, the local post office and a kindergarten that does not have water or sanitation. Are children from Grblje second-class children, whose health and safety and basic hygiene conditions we should not worry about? Can it be said that Grbalj lives in the 21st century, if today we have large parts of Grbalj that do not have roads, water or electricity. Is it too much to expect that the area of ​​Grblje of 95 square kilometers with 22 km of sea coast will be a resource from which wealth is created, and not in which people live in poverty and without basic infrastructure conditions", said councilor candidate from Grblje Milorad Vukšić.

He added that the people of Grbljana are still crying out for basic infrastructural solutions, "so in the 21st century, every gathering of locals starts with the question - when will something be done about local roads, high-quality electricity supply and water supply".

"Although Grbalj does not receive water from the regional water supply, which, by the way, the water company pays under 0.30 euros, they receive high bills at a price of 1 euros per cubic meter, and the consumption is more of air flow than water through the pipes. There is no water in Donji Grblje, and in other parts of Grblje there are constant restrictions at the time when water is most needed," said Vukšić.

He adds that the municipal DPS - SDP government introduced an enormously high tariff on undeveloped construction land, which, "when the SNP comes to power, will be significantly reduced".

"The SNP will not fill the budget by inventing and increasing levies on the already existentially threatened citizens of Kotor, but will first of all collect the tax and communal debts of a number of rich people newly born from this government, for whom planning documents are made to order, whose debts are not collected and whose enrichment is subordinate work of the local administration", said Vukšić.

The councilor candidate pointed out that the fact that "in the last ten years, the municipality of Kotor collected 21 million euros of income from Grblje, and invested only 4,5 million euros in this area, speaks of the discriminatory and exploitative attitude of the municipal DPS-SDP government towards Grblje and every person who lives in this space".

"We remind the municipal government that Grbalj passed its code of conduct on Mitrovdan in 1427, which the people of Grbalj adhered to and respected. That's why today, as councilor candidates of the SNP from the area of ​​Grblje, we are telling all the residents of Grblje and the now former municipal government that we will INTRODUCE the 21st CENTURY to GRBALJ and that we will respect the laws, because we had and respected them in the 15th century. That all the money that is generated from the area of ​​Grbalj will be invested in Grbalj so that the whole of Grbalj will finally have a quality water supply, that the electricity supply will be improved so that they don't run out of electricity from every thunderstorm and that electrical appliances do not crack due to low voltage, that they have quality roads on which to get to their houses. The wealth of Grblje will be valorized, the area of ​​Grblje will be urbanized and spatially planned in the interest of everyone, not just a few eligible individuals who get rich at the expense of everyone else," concluded Vukšić.

The conference was also attended by councilor candidates: Blažo Ercegović, Vlado Vukadinović, Ivo Lazarević and Ivo Krstičević, as well as SNP councilor Aleksandra Sindik.
