The Agency for the Prevention of Corruption (ASK) initiated criminal proceedings against the Democratic People's Party (DNP), the citizens' group Alternativa, the group of voters "Radomir Glendža", the Party of Serbian Radicals and the Democratic Alliance for non-compliance with the provisions of the Law on the Financing of Political Entities and Election Campaigns.
The director of ASK, Sreten Radonjić, said that the misdemeanor proceedings were initiated due to non-compliance with the provisions of the Law on the Financing of Political Entities and Election Campaigns during the campaign for the elections of deputies to the Parliament of Montenegro and local elections for councilors in the assemblies of the municipalities of Budva, Kotor, Andrijevica and Gusinje. .
"After inspecting the documentation in the Agency's possession, misdemeanor proceedings were initiated against the political entity DNP because it did not pay all campaign funds for the parliamentary elections from a special campaign financing account, but made payments from its regular account," he said. He said that misdemeanor proceedings were initiated against the group of citizens "Alternativa" due to the failure to submit a report on the contributions of legal and natural persons for the financing of the campaign for the parliamentary elections.
"Also, misdemeanor proceedings were initiated against the Radomir Glendža Voters' Group because it did not open a special account, did not appoint a person to manage the account and did not submit a report on contributions for financing the campaign for the local elections in Budva," specified Radonjić.
