Popović: Permanently resolve the issue of parking in the Old Town

The Social Democrats of Kotor believe that in order to improve the quality of life of the inhabitants of the Old Town, it is necessary for the municipal government to pay more attention to the problems that burden them, such as the problem of parking and noise from restaurants.

Dušan Popović, candidate for councilor of the Social Democratic Party of Kotor, states that he will insist that the issue of parking for the residents of the Old Town be permanently resolved and that parking be free for them.

"Specifically, we offer a solution for the construction of garages in two locations, in the hill above Gurdić, and the second one in Benova. Another problem faced by the residents of the Old Town is the issue of noise from restaurants. It is necessary to solve this through strict compliance with regulations on working hours and noise level, except for the duration of special events and on special occasions, when catering facilities would have extended working hours", stated in Popović's announcement.

In the future local government, the Social Democrats are said to be advocating that the owners of business premises in the Old Town be allowed multifunctional use, which would not disturb the orderliness of the city and the peaceful life of its residents and tourists.

"This implies that during the year, during the duration of certain manifestations, the owners of business premises should be allowed to convert, which would contribute to increasing the income of both entrepreneurs and the city", it is concluded.
