In the upcoming local elections, Budva's Liberals do not want to conclude a coalition with DPS, but as they see URA and SDP as their partners.

This is what the leader of the Budva Liberals, Blažo Radjenović, told "Vijesta".

"The municipal board of LP Budva, guided by the principles and consistency of its policy, made it clear from the first day of its establishment that it will not cooperate with any political entity in Budva whose primary and only goal is not to improve the quality of life of citizens and strive to satisfy social and the cultural needs of our fellow citizens. It follows that our yesterday's coalition partner in Budva, DPS, during these four years of mandate, did not carry out a single project or adopt a decision that benefits our fellow citizens, even to the detriment of them," reminded Radjenović.

He added that as a committee and their councilor in the Assembly of the Municipality of Budva, Mr. Ante Petković, on several occasions pointed out many harmful and disastrous investments for the municipal budget, which brought millions of money to individuals.

"This was later proven in many affairs that were and are the subject of the prosecution and the courts. We are not happy about it, on the contrary, primarily for the reason that the citizens of Budva and the municipality of Budva are the most harmed by these frauds. In 2012, we joined the coalition with DPS with the sincere desire and belief that the investment program and many projects, which Budva desperately needs, will be realized. Unfortunately, those projects remained just a dead letter on paper, and our trust was betrayed. We realized this already after the first year of the mandate with the DPS and started boycotting the parliamentary sessions, and I will remind you that we were the 17th councilor who brought the majority to that coalition. As the only condition for returning to the parliamentary bench, we set the pre-election promise given to the citizens of Budva in the 2012 elections, which is commissioning garages in Rafailovići. We requested that the municipality urgently ask the investor, the company "Trejd junik", to build 10.000 m2 of business-garage space near the city post office (which it was obliged to do according to the Agreement on compensation for utilities for the construction of the TQ center this company), to create a project and expropriate land for the bypass from Lastva Grbaljska to Markovići (the later construction of which was included in the Investment Plan of the Government of Montenegro), to proceed with the tendering for the "Lungo mare" trail on Sveti Stefan (also one of the pre-election promises) and finally, our condition was to put an end to the noise in the city, one of the burning problems in the tourist season every year," emphasized Radjenović.

In response to the boycott, he added, they received political corruption from DPS in the form of buying councilors from the opposition.

"We are hereby informing the public that the Municipal Board of LPCG Budva has made a unanimous decision that it will not form either pre-election or post-election coalitions with DPS in Budva. We see the political entities URU and SDP as partners, with a very close electoral plan and program in the upcoming local elections. Municipal the board of LP Budva gave consent for a joint performance with the mentioned parties and it remains to be confirmed at the Main Board of the party, which is scheduled for today, at 17 p.m. in Podgorica.

"The liberals of Budva will not let their fellow citizens down this time either. The liberals will fight, the liberals keep their word!" concluded Rađenović.
