The Yugoslav Communist Party of Montenegro (JKPCG) joined the Democratic Front (DF) today, it was announced at a press conference.
The president of the Central Committee of the JKCPG, Vladislav Vuković, said that they have had a critical and harsh attitude towards the current government for a quarter of a century.
He said that the communists, not giving up the ideas of original Marxism, its rich theory and practice, decided to enter that opposition coalition.
As he said, by expropriating the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) and dismantling its, as he stated, commercial-minded establishment and quasi-elite of all levels and orientations, conditions would be created for the beginning of a new era of political-economic upheaval and spiritual transformation of Montenegrin society.
"With all our hearts and from the depths of our souls, we approach this coalition alliance with recognizable signs - red color, hammer and sickle and five-pointed star," announced Vuković.
Milan Knežević from the DF expressed satisfaction that another, as he said, undoubtedly opposition entity joined the DF.
"We are convinced that on October 16, we will be able to announce freedom and that the DF will form a new government and return Montenegro to an orderly legal state in which the rights of all people will be guaranteed," he said.
Knežević, commenting on the question of DPS, "which country are they referring to", explained that they were referring to Montenegro, which, as he said, (Milo) Đukanović destroyed on all grounds over the course of 27 years.
"We think of the looted and despoiled Montenegro at every step, in every city, suburb and village," Knežević added.
Knežević assessed that the DF is currently the only unwavering and true opposition force in the country. "
Emilo Labudović from DF announced that the DPS again resorted, as he said, to old methods of dirty fighting and pressure on Montenegrin citizens.
According to him, DPS attacked their propaganda materials.
As Labudović said, the day before last night, during Đukanović's stay in Ulcinj and Bar, the road leading through those two cities, on which DF billboards are located, was defaced with graffiti and crossed out beyond recognition.
Koča Pavlović from the DF said that he would ask the Parliamentary Committee dealing with the Law on the Election of Councilors and MPs in the part related to the media to discuss the case.
