The Liberals of Budva assessed that it was the speech of the leader of Nova Đorđe Vujović, showed the true face of that DF member, revealing that their main interest is trade.
The leader of the Liberal Party in Budva, Blažo Rađenović, reminded that the LP in Budva has announced that it is ready to run independently in the elections.
"But we also took part in talks with opposition subjects whose goal is to have local self-government led by professional, responsible and people of integrity, regardless of political or any other commitment. LP in Budva for these four years has shown and proved its interests when it comes to running the government. Our priorities are the priorities of all citizens, which we have communicated on several occasions up to now, and which are also the reason for our boycott of the assembly for the last 2 and a half years", he said.
He added that the Liberals of Budva were ready to play the key role of a political victim primarily of their infrastructure in the talks that are in the final phase for the sake of the change of government that brought the municipality of Budva to the situation it is in today.
"Thus, for the sake of trying to unify and consolidate the true opposition into one column, we violated our party's statutory and programmatic principles and accepted to be absent from the last meeting, even though we knew we were doing it because of the conditions of those who deserve it the least. DF, i.e. one member of that alliance, showed their true colors today and finally revealed that their main interest is trade. So, thinking that the Liberals have any kind of complex or vanity, they tried to give some kind of ultimatum to the opposition entities that they will participate in the talks only in a situation where the Liberals are not there. We accepted that and did not appear at the meeting only for the reason that there would be a change of government in Budva, and at the same time not giving an alibi to these people that they have a reason to sabotage the talks. They proved that even that was not enough for them", pointed out Rađenović.
He asked whether with such a statement and disrespect and to a large extent "winking" at the DPS, they deserve even one councilor in SO Budva, that's what you, respected fellow citizens, will judge on October 16.
