The Municipal Committee of the Democratic People's Party Bijelo Polje believes that the visit of the President of the Government of Montenegro Milo Đukanović to Bijelo Polje can be characterized as a commemorative memorial of two decades since the burial of the economy in our municipality under the direct baton of the Democratic Party of Socialists, announced today Svetislav Perišić, President of the OO DNP Bijelo Field.
"It is extremely hypocritical to announce at all bells the opening of a couple of private production facilities that will employ a few hundred workers in a municipality that, before they came to power, had thousands of employed workers and that the irresponsible policy of Milo Đukanović left without existence, offering them a street and self-reliance as the only alternatives. "It is tragic that the rebirth is announced by a man who, together with his decades-long political henchmen from our city, is the most responsible for the decline of the Bijelo Polje economy and the transformation of Bijelo Polje into a city from which people are leaving," Perišić pointed out.
He added that at the beginning of his political career, when Đukanović came to Bijelo Polje, he had the opportunity to visit industrial giants such as Vunk, Bjelasica, Lenka, Imak and other business entities.
"On which his disastrous rule put a padlock, so his bragging about these small projects in Bijelo Polje is pure irony and sarcasm that inappropriately insults the intellect of the citizens of our municipality and makes a mockery of their real existential pain. Nevertheless, Đukanović made the most important visit to the DPS's party base, where during his visit he mostly stayed to divide the responsibilities for the upcoming election campaign together with his deputy Duško Marković, in order to deceive the citizens for another mandate, to continue unhindered with economic devastation Montenegro. This election year, the Prime Minister visited Bijelo Polje among the first cities, because he expects that this time, through blackmail, political pressure and other forms of abuse of the electoral process, he will gain support," said Perišić.
According to him, the DNP believes that the citizens of Bijelo Polje must finally break free from the clutches of the DPS, which has shackled them for more than a quarter of a century, so that this city, instead of the existing unsustainable situation, starts on the path of economic recovery and overall prosperity.
"It is high time that those Bielopoles who showed confidence in the DPS this time withhold their support for the politics of Milo Đukanović, turn their backs on his criminal regime and make a concrete contribution to the long-awaited democratic changes in Montenegro," Perišić concluded.
