Members of the Rozaj DPS left the session of the Municipal Assembly because they think that several decisions that were on the agenda are in conflict with the law, that is, the agreement on free and fair elections.
At the beginning of the session, they proposed that the points on transfer of immovable property for use, the decision on alienation of immovable property and the initiation of the land sale procedure are contrary to the law. "The Law on the Implementation of the Agreement on the Fulfillment of the Conditions for Free and Fair Elections in Article 7 stipulates, among other things, that without the consent of persons who, in the sense of Articles 4 and 5, monitor and control the use of state and municipal resources, they cannot approve their use. the adoption of the mentioned decisions was not approved by an authorized person, which represents a significant violation of the aforementioned regulation and leads to suspicion of political abuse," states the statement of the Club of DPS Councilors, which adds that they will inform the line ministry and the Government of Montenegro about the omissions. "Regardless of our desire to be a constructive opposition, there was no understanding on the other side, but the selfishness of the ruling majority prevailed, which ultimately resulted in the violation of the basic principle of acting according to the laws of Montenegro. For this reason, we made the decision to leave the parliamentary session when came to consider the disputed decision, not wanting to give legitimacy to the disputed decisions," the announcement reads. Previously, the decision on the free allocation of wages for 32 people in a state of social need was postponed, and at the suggestion of the DPS councilor that in this way the lex specialis would be violated and the proposal that the resolution of housing issues be considered after the elections.
