The Parliament will fulfill its obligations, which are an integral part of the Agreement between the government and the opposition, in order to achieve the goal of fair and free elections, said the Speaker of the Parliament, Darko Pajović.
As announced by the Assembly, Pajović today received the head of the Delegation of the European Union in Montenegro, Mitja Drobnič, and thanked him for his interest in the work of the Parliament.
"Pajović announced that the Parliament of Montenegro will continue the continuity of good relations and cooperation with the EU Delegation," the statement said.
Pajović said that he will speed up the dynamics of the work of the Assembly in the coming period, in order to adopt as many systemic laws and other acts that are in the parliamentary procedure.
"The Assembly of Montenegro will implement those obligations that relate to the Assembly, and are an integral part of the Agreement between the government and the opposition, so that everyone can reach the goal - fair and free elections," emphasized Pajović.
Drobnič congratulated Pajović on his appointment as the first man of the Assembly and welcomed the announced dynamics of the parliament's work, which will be important for Montenegro's further path towards membership in the European Union.
He, as stated, emphasized the importance of the full application of electoral legislation, in order to ensure the organization of credible elections in October.
