MP of Positive Montenegro, Darko Pajović, is today running for president of the Montenegrin Assembly.
He was nominated for this position by 13 deputies.
In the explanation of the proposal, it is stated that Pozitivna, as an authentic alternative to all political actors in Montenegro, consistently and uncompromisingly stands for peaceful and democratic political changes and progress, both in the direction of Euro-Atlantic integration and in the direction of strengthening democratic institutions.
"A positive Montenegro insists on peace and stability, inter-ethnic tolerance, the affirmation of civil society, the rule of law, the fight against corruption and organized crime, which is a prerequisite for the protection of the poor and vulnerable, and dialogue as a way to resolve political conflicts," the explanation says.
It is added that the Positive Plan for overcoming the political crisis sets three clear goals - to preserve peace and stability, ensure the continuation of Euro-Atlantic integration and create conditions for free and fair elections, through control of the electoral process and prevention of misuse of state resources.
"Today, thanks to the decisions of Positive Montenegro, we have preserved peace and stability in the country, signed the Protocol on Accession to NATO, as well as the Government of Electoral Confidence. We also have the Agreement on creating conditions for free and fair elections between the government and the opposition, which they signed 11 out of 12 political entities that have their own representatives in the parliament," the explanation states.
It is specified that after 27 years, the opposition in Montenegro participates in the Government with a clear goal - preparation and control of the electoral process, as well as preventing the misuse of state resources for party purposes.
"Without the dilemma, neither the Agreement between the government and the opposition, nor the Government of electoral confidence would have existed without the brave, decisive, statesmanlike decisions of Positive Montenegro," the proposal states.
As pointed out, what Montenegro needs and what it will insist on is that all work in the Assembly, as well as in the Government of the Electoral Trust, be carried out responsibly and professionally in order to improve the electoral process, protect the legal order, strengthen democracy and ensure further progress. and development.
"The guarantee for political stability is Darko Pajović, the president of Positive Montenegro who, undoubtedly with his authority, as the president of the Assembly will make a full contribution to the continuation of Euro-Atlantic integration and the democratization of Montenegro," the explanation concludes.
Pajović's candidacy was signed by Azra Jasavić, Milutin Simović, Suljo Mustafić, Ljerka Dragičević, Goran Tuponja, Almer Kalač, Mićo Orlandić, Mevludin Nuhodžić, Obrad Stanišić, Ljubo Škrelja, Rešad Sijarić, Damir Šehović and Genci Nimanbegu.
