The decision on the salaries of local officials appointed by the Assembly of the Capital City, which foresees a XNUMX percent increase in salaries compared to the Decision on the salaries of local officials and employees in the Capital City, whose salaries remain almost at the same level or slightly less, represents another in a series of discriminatory decisions of employees in local administration by the regime, which in its arrogance and insatiability has lost all feeling for the social position of employees, said Zoran Lakušić, Member of the Presidency of the Democratic People's Party and Councilor in the Assembly of the Capital City of Podgorica.
"And instead of stimulating those whose work results are tied to all the development projects of the Capital City, the regime stimulates those whose managerial positions in the Capital City serve to solve all life problems in the relatively short time they will be in those positions. Depriving them at the same time the largest number of employees in various services of the Capital City provide basic conditions for the life of a worthy human being," said Lakušić.
He added that if an analysis is made of how many former and current local officials have changed in various positions, how many apartments, loans and other benefits they have received, "we will easily arrive at figures that make your head spin."
"On the other hand, we have hundreds of employees who, in thirty or more years of work, have not solved the housing issue and many other issues. Which local officials solve overnight, as well as those who ended their working life without solving the housing issue and earned pensions from which I can't live a day until noon. Despite the humiliating treatment of employees and the evaluation of their work by local officials, they are forced to silently accept all decisions that they not only have no influence on, but also to vote for those who treat them that way. That's why all those councilors who think for themselves should vote against one or the other decision, because they aim to humiliate local officials and employees on the one hand and reward officials on the other. It's a shame that it couldn't be more shameful that the mayor has a coefficient of 25 and an employee 2,6. This best speaks to the extent to which the limits of the callousness of those in leadership positions reach. This kind of exploitative attitude towards employees has not been recorded in these areas," concluded Lakušić.
