The Party of Democratic Action (SDA) in Sarajevo hosted a meeting attended by the Bosniak Party of Montenegro Youth Forum and the SDA Croatia Youth Forum, the Bosniak Party of Montenegro announced.
"The meeting was attended by Sedad Dedić, Secretary General of the SDA BiH Youth Association and Hilmija Arnautović, President of the SDA BiH Youth Association Stari Grad, while the delegation of Croatian SDA youth was led by President Imran Srebreniković.
The Bosnian Party Youth Forum was represented by Sead Šahman, president and Mirza Medunjanin, vice president.
The youth representatives of the three political parties from the region discussed current socio-political issues and the needs of Bosniak youth, as well as important undertakings that were assessed as a priority for joint implementation in the coming period. At the meeting, future activities and models of stronger connection at all levels were agreed upon, according to the BS announcement.
Sedad Dedić, Secretary General of the AM SDA BiH, emphasized the importance of connecting young Bosniaks in the region and gathering around common values, stressing that the tendency of the young SDA BiH is to pay more attention to associations of young Bosniaks from the region and future cooperation with them in the coming year.
Imran Srebreniković, president of the Croatian SDA Youth Forum, presented the plans for future activities to the attendees. Srebreniković introduced the participants of this meeting to the problems that young Bosniaks have when declaring their ethnicity, and emphasized the full commitment of FM SDA Croatia to work on improving the status of Bosniak youth in that country and motivating them to take political action within SDA Croatia.
Sead Šahman, president of the Bosniak Party Youth Forum, expressed his satisfaction with the organization of this meeting and gave a historical overview of the origins of the Bosniak Party, which is the successor to the political ideas of the former Party of Democratic Action of Montenegro. Presenting the position of Bosniaks and the participation of the Bosniak Party in the government structures of Montenegro, Šahman pointed out that the cooperation between the three parties should be more intense in the future precisely by connecting young people from these political organizations.
Earlier on the same day, a reception was held for guests from Croatia and Montenegro in the Sarajevo City Hall, where the host was Abdulah Skaka, Deputy Mayor of Sarajevo.
