The inability of domestic NATO promoters to influence the dominant mood of the majority of Montenegrin citizens who are explicitly opposed to Montenegro's membership in that military alliance is being replaced by the import of foreign "smarts" through unprecedented media pressure, the Democratic People's Party (DNP) assessed.
"The activation of the sirens and the red alarm was confirmed by the Czech general and chairman of the NATO Military Committee, Peter Pavel, and the director of the Center for Euro-Atlantic Studies from Belgrade, Jelena Milić, who openly and brutally got involved in the election campaign and promotion of the Democratic Party of Socialists", member of the DNP presidency, Zoran Lakušić, believes.
As he stated, it is particularly irritating that NATO officers, through the Public Service, predict the fate of future election processes in Montenegro, trampling on the principle of sovereignty of an independent state "and openly showing the colonial perception of Montenegro as an unorganized territory from the aspect of the NATO military alliance".
"We remind Pavel that Montenegro is an independent state and that, accordingly, it will make decisions independently, without any inappropriate influence from outside. It is desirable that the general should first of all deal with the experience of the Czech Republic, which did not produce anywhere near the proclaimed and expected results, because while he is predicting our fate, the anti-NATO mood in his country grows every day, quite justifiably," said Lakušić's response. .
According to him, as far as Milić is concerned, it is not the first time that she puts her quasi-expertise at the service of the defense of the current Montenegrin regime. "Fortunately, her analytical weight and the impact of her achievements in Montenegro is identical to the weight of František Lipka".
"Not to mention how disgusting the opinion of the principals is that the desired effect is achieved in this way. In fact, this is a clear message that support for NATO in Montenegro is declining and that they must import promoters in order to artificially revive support," Lakušić believes.
In the DNP, he said, they are satisfied that the NATO promoters "lack a response to our anti-NATO activities in which the dominant majority of citizens who are against membership are present, and that salvation is sought in such imported analytical-officer infusions in a desperate attempt improving the blood count before the elections".
"This is precisely why we are now even more certain that their NATO concept cannot transfer the maximum 30 percent of support in the referendum," Lakušić added.
