The head of the Board of Directors of the Budva Waterworks, Rade Gregović, called the claims of DF councilor Đorđe Vujović about the misuse of money in that company a lie.
He reacted to the text from the press conference, during which Vujović said that almost four million euros of profit went to the salaries of the cumbersome administration of Vodovod, in which, among other things, six directors, their five advisors and 54 managers work...
"It does not suit any political party, even when it is an opposition party, to use untruths and insinuations or, to be better understood, pure lies, all for the sake of cheap political points and profit, whose value judgments will be best appreciated by the citizens of Budva. Mr. Vujović, since you addressed me exclusively as the president of the Board that manages this company since May 25, 2015, I inform you that your statement would not have merited my attention if it had not been reported by certain media, because simply none of the allegations you presented not true".
He also rejected Vujović's interpretations about the difference in the price of water.
"The correction that took place in the middle of 2015 led to, admittedly not significant, but in the mass of the overall price reduction of water supply services, a significant part of which was at the expense of the decrease in the planned revenues of the Waterworks. The allegations that 'so much money' was being spent inappropriately are not true either. It would be elementary correct to announce where and why, if you already provide information about the money spent. It is not true that the losses in the water supply system are exactly 72 percent, but the truth is that they are quite large. It is not true that you believe that the systematization of workplaces was done according to a party directive, but solely with the aim of establishing an organizational and advanced basis for the performance of this important public function when it comes to the Municipality of Budva," wrote Gregović.
He stated that he was surprised that Vujović shared false qualifications, as a former employee of the Waterworks.
"The only thing that is true is that the Board of Directors made and will make all decisions within the framework of the powers and acts of the founders and very persistently influence that the management structure effectively operationalizes the business policy in the interest of better realization of the public function - water supply of the municipality of Budva. We have the knowledge that, without your tendentious 'suggestions', we influence the real parameters that will condition possible downward corrections of service prices, creating a sustainable water supply system, but also protecting the Waterworks from everything that could threaten it in that direction," the response reads.
