The candidate for the new president of the Municipality of Budva, Marko Bato Carević, will have to clearly state today at the session of the Municipal Assembly that he will drop the lawsuit against the local administration, from which he is demanding the payment of almost 2,4 million euros, the amount with interest of the estimated value of the stone and material that was 11 years ago. year his company "Carinvest" delivered for the construction of a concert platform on Jaz.
This is what the key coalition partner - Democratic Montenegro - Democratic Montenegro, whose eight members in the parliament are crucial for the appointment of Tsarević as the successor of the current mayor Dragan Krapović, a member of the Democrats, asked him for.
This was discussed, as "Vijesti" confirmed, at the coalition meeting on the eve of the New Year, where representatives of the Democrats presented a new demand.
Carevic's company is leading a multi-year court case against the construction company "Gugi commerce", from which it is demanding payment in the name of the material it allegedly delivered to it for the construction of the plateau, but the Municipality of Budva is also a second defendant in the lawsuit. Tsarević should exclude the Municipality from the lawsuit, and the court case should continue against the opposing construction company.
"Carinvest" sued the company "Gugi commerc" for illegal enrichment by building a concert plateau on the Jaz, because it allegedly charged 1,4 million euros from the Municipality for stone and other construction materials, which the Tsarević family company gave for the construction of the plateau on the Jaz. 2007, on the eve of the Rolling Stones' visit.
At the time, Svetozar Marović was at the head of the organizing committee, and the construction of the plateau was a priority project of the Municipality because it had to be built in a short period of time, in order for the popular Stones to perform for the first time in Montenegro.
The decision to fold the sheet was made by Tsarević after the Special Prosecutor's Office arrested the then municipal leadership in 2015, who pleaded guilty to participating in the million-dollar embezzlement related to the construction of the plateau.
The "Plato" affair came into the hands of the then special prosecutor for organized crime, Đurđina Nina Ivanović, in 2013, after Tsarević filed criminal charges against the authorities in the Municipality of Budva, revolted, since his lawsuit was brought before the Commercial Court, for damages of two million euros, in the name of the supplied 84 thousand cubic meters of stone and other materials for the construction of the plateau, rejected as outdated.
Acting on a criminal report, the then Basic State Prosecutor in Kotor, and now the current president of the High Court, Boris Savić, after taking statements from all the "culprits", forwards the case to Podgorica, to his colleagues in the Special Prosecutor's Office, who immediately start an investigation.
In mid-September 2015, by order of the Special Prosecutor's Office, headed by Milivoje Katnić, the entire municipal leadership was arrested.
The claims of "Carinvest" before the Commercial Court were disputed by the company "Gugi commerce", from which they claim that the delivery notes for the delivered material are forgeries.
In the "Plato" affair, the Special State Prosecutor's Office concluded a plea agreement, which was confirmed by the judgment of the High Court in Podgorica, and by which the company "Gugi commerce" is obliged to pay damages to the Municipality of Budva in the amount of 2,2 million euros, which in money in real estate.
Tsarević stated even earlier that he expected the Special Prosecutor's Office to declare whether the payment of damages to the Municipality for the construction of the plateau included the claim of his company for the delivered material.
