The president of the OO SDP Ulcinj Skender Elezagić said that before the vote of confidence in the Government of Montenegro, the representatives of the Albanian national parties in the Montenegrin Parliament, according to the established habit, "before all others and without any conditions, rushed to declare that they would support the Government."
"Like any good, obedient and loyal satellite, they told the center of their Universe that they stand firmly on the planned orbit and will not deviate from the path, even though this is not the will of those they represent. Of course, in such situations, every political subject has the absolute right to independently make a decision in accordance with their political and party interests, and there is no dispute," said Elezagić.
Elezagić said that these are at the same time situations that are used in a completely legitimate way to strengthen one's political position and to request and receive concessions from partners who need support in the form of the fulfillment of one of their important political and program goals.
Elezagić said that the Albanian people in Montenegro supported all positive historical processes, "turning away from Milosevic and war politics, the fight for independence and the Euro-Atlantic path, which we can be proud of."
He added that the Albanian national parties, went a step further, almost always supported not only positive state policy, but also the DPS, "even when the state benefit was questionable, such as the presidential elections and the third term of Filip Vujanović and many privatization projects."
The president of the Ulcinj SDP added that this support was not lacking, neither when it was needed nor when it was not, but Ulcinj is still, although the richest in terms of natural resources, one of the most underdeveloped municipalities in Montenegro, the only city on the Montenegrin coast from which young they emigrate for economic reasons.
"In this way, we publicly ask the leaders of the Albanian political parties, why they did not have the courage to ask their partners, in exchange for support, to solve at least one of the burning problems of Ulcinj, for example, determining the maritime property line in the same way as it was done in other coastal areas municipalities, the protection of the property of Solana, the return of the olive groves in Valdanos, the initiation of at least one serious investment in tourism capacities (or at least stop the dissuasion of investors interested in investing in Ulcinj)? Instead, those who are the cause of all the mentioned problems, have the unconditional support of the representatives injured citizens of Ulcinj. There can be many reasons for that, but they are hardly of an ideological nature," concluded Elezagić.
