The local administration of Bijelo Polje cannot boast of the results of the past year, because it did not undertake anything concrete to improve the living standards of citizens, announced the Democratic People's Party (DNP).
"On the occasion of the Liberation Day, with sincere congratulations to all the citizens of Bijelo Polje, the DNP states that the local administration cannot boast of the results of the past year, because it did not undertake anything concrete to improve the living standards of the citizens", says the announcement of the president of the municipal board of that party. According to him, without new jobs, with a permanent increase in unemployment, with an alarming rate of emigration, from the 60 thousand inhabitants it had in the early nineties, today Bijelo Polje has only 45 thousand inhabitants.
"And all this is a consequence of the two-and-a-half-decade rule of the DPS in this city, the party that the DNP designates as the main culprit for the difficult socioeconomic situation in Bijelo Polje," the statement added.
Perišić said that the eulogies of the local authorities about the implementation of the alleged projects are extremely transparent, with the aim of concealing the pressing problems that Bjepolojci are facing.
He said that the Government of Montenegro has long since forgotten about that Municipality and its citizens, stating that the Prime Minister perceives the people of Bijelo Polje exclusively as a provincial voting machine.
"After all, he confirmed this these days with statements about the contribution of the citizens of Bijelo Polje to the so-called important state projects, and he himself knows very well that the support from Bijelo Polje came mainly as a result of blackmail, pressure and election theft. "The Prime Minister's gratitude for the alleged contribution of the citizens of Bijelo Polje to NATO integration is disgusting," said Perišić.
He claims that Bijelo Polje's support for Montenegro's membership in NATO is even lower than the support at the state level.
"DNP remains firmly convinced that only with the removal of this government will something concrete good be done for Bijelo Polje and its citizens. And that this city, forgotten by the regime, will only then start on the path of real economic recovery and prosperity", concluded Perišić.
