The invitation to Montenegro for NATO completes the state's integrity and means a full reaffirmation of the state on the international scene, the Bosniak Party (BS) said.
They congratulated the citizens of Montenegro on the decision to give the country an invitation to join the NATO alliance.
"We believe that this act, as an announcement of membership in the North Atlantic Alliance, completes the state's integrity and means a full reaffirmation of Montenegro on the international stage, which represents one of the fundamental program commitments of the BS," the party's statement said.
They reminded that one of the strategic goals of the BS since its establishment was the accession of Montenegro to NATO.
"For Montenegro, this is an achievement and an incentive for further building the institutions of the system and strengthening their capacity, as well as further reforms of the defense and security system and strengthening the support of the public and citizens", was assessed from BS.
They believe that through the processes of further Euro-Atlantic integration, Montenegro will become a more stable and healthy society, and the act of joining the NATO alliance will mean, as they said, a new security framework and a greater chance for the country's economic development.
According to them, the entry of Montenegro into NATO is a confirmation of its correct path since the restoration of independence, which is also an incentive for other countries of the region that are on the path of Euro-Atlantic integration.
"Accession to the NATO alliance represents a contribution to the stabilization of the region and strengthening of what Montenegro preserved in the turbulent nineties, above all internal stability and good inter-national relations", was assessed from BS.
Accession to NATO, as they stated, will mean an additional boost to the European integration of Montenegro, as well as more opportunities for achieving democratic standards, raising human and minority rights to a higher level, further building institutions as well as a better environment for infrastructure projects, economic investments and foreign investments. .
"We expect that both those who advocate Montenegro's entry into NATO and those who have reservations about it will represent their views in a democratic and civilized manner, but that, in the end, the formal decision on accession will be made in the representative house of citizens - the Parliament of Montenegro ", they concluded from BS.
