Even after 17 days, the Council for Citizen Control of Police Work did not receive concrete information from the MUP of Montenegro about the case of the beating of Milorad Martinović.
"We are not asking for those answers from the prosecutor's office, nor is it their job. It is the job of the Minister of the Interior to report to the Council what happened and how our assessments and conclusions were implemented. This will show both his and our efficiency," said Aleksandar Zeković, President of the Council. for civil control of police work for "Antena M".
Zeković praised the prosecution's progress in the investigation, but was dissatisfied with the performance of the executive authorities.
"This now shows that we don't even need them like this, because then we should leave each case to the prosecutor's office to process and solve it," Zeković said.
Yesterday, after several days of questioning members of the SAJ regarding the case of the beating of the president of the Boxing Federation, Milorad Martinović, the Prosecutor's Office ordered the detention of Bor Grgurović and Goran Zejak.
They are accused of torture with infliction of serious bodily injury for the damage of Martinović.
