The Bosniak Party (BS) appeals to citizens to preserve civil peace because it is "the most precious value of our society that we knew how to preserve even in much more difficult times."
The announcement adds that one should not fall prey to the tensions that have been raised these days, which, as they said from BS, are aimed at stopping Montenegro on the Euro-Atlantic path and further democratic processes.
"The Bosniak party expresses its deep regret for the violence and condemns the attack on state institutions that happened last night in Podgorica, while we thank the law enforcement authorities for their effective response in order to stop further escalation of violence," the statement said.
BS calls on all political entities to return to the Assembly and to continue discussing all issues in that chamber and to find solutions that will reflect the electoral will of the citizens, and the Bosniak Party, as they said, will certainly support the dialogue on all open issues.
"At least one injured citizen obliges us to do that, and not dozens as there were last night. Fortunately, there were no seriously injured or killed," said BS.
The Bosniak party condemns the vandalism and "spoiling" of buildings in the center of Podgorica.
"Violence and the attempt to forcefully enter the Parliament are the responsibility of the organizers of the meeting, especially those who raised tensions with inflammatory rhetoric and incited the crowd to attack the institutions. We call on the competent authorities to investigate all events within their jurisdiction and against the perpetrators, regardless of which side they came from , initiate their misdemeanor and criminal liability. We appeal to media workers, editors of electronic media and portals, to take care of how and in what way they inform the public, because any tendentious informing of the public can cause serious consequences. Responsibility for the contribution at the current moment will be the subject of objective and critical analysis - both by the public and the institutions," the statement concluded.
