Positive Montenegro called on the authorities in Ulcinj to provide an adequate pedestrian zone and bicycle path for citizens and tourists.
From that party, they said that it is necessary to improve the road infrastructure for the movement of motor vehicles through the detour due to the large traffic jams, which, they believe, even the newly built bridge on Velika Plaža cannot solve.
As they specified, it would connect from the village of Gornji Štoj, via Reč, Ćurak and Zoganj to the center of Ulcinj.
"For this reason, Ulcinj additionally needs a pedestrian zone and a bicycle path that citizens and tourists could use and function smoothly," the announcement states.
From Pozitivna, they said that this would reduce the huge traffic congestion, which, they believe, causes both citizens and tourists to suffer during the season.
According to them, an adequate location would be in the area from the Hotel Albatros to the pier at Velika Plaža.
"That's why we invite the Secretariat for Communal Activities as well as councilors in the local parliament to look into the possibility of finding legal solutions for the construction of this section that would be used exclusively as a pedestrian zone and bicycle path", announced from Pozitivna.
From that party, they added that this would make traffic easier, as well as improve the image of Ulcinj as an attractive destination among lovers of recreational cycling and hiking.
