According to the Democratic People's Party (DNP), Kosovo's resolution on border demarcation with Montenegro is an open pretension and an attack on the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the state.
The Assembly of Kosovo adopted a resolution demanding that the border with Montenegro be the one determined by the Constitution from 1974. On Friday, 72 MPs supported the proposal of the resolution proposed by MP Donika Kadaj Bujupi of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, while nine parliamentarians from Serbian parties were against it.
As they assessed from that party, the political allies and partners of the current Montenegrin regime decided to open Pandora's box and, as they added, start redrawing the borders, confirming in a "convincing way the perniciousness of the decision of the official Podgorica on the recognition of the so-called state of Kosovo".
That is why, as the member of the DNP presidency, Zoran Lakušić, stated, the authors of that resolution based their expectations that it would be acceptable to Montenegro on that decision.
According to him, when someone completely contrary to the interests, spiritual vertical and historical being of the state supported the violent seizure of the southern Serbian province, it is expected, Lakušić believes, that he is ready to take a step further and make an even greater contribution to the realization of the Greater Albanian project.
"I demand from Đukanović and Vujanović to explain whether the aforementioned resolution is the product of an agreement with Hashim Thači and Edi Ram, and part of the Ulcinj package when they were triumphantly, with the blessing and presence of Montenegrin officials, declared honorary citizens of that municipality, or perhaps it is a pre-referendum promise through which support was obtained for the construction of the private state of the head of the regime", said Lakušić.
In the announcement of the DNP, it is stated that they expect the competent state authorities to strongly condemn this initiative by Kosovo and point out all the risks and harmful consequences of opening up these issues.
"Otherwise, if there is no reaction, the assumptions that the border redrawing project is being implemented with the tacit consent and direct participation of the current Montenegrin regime will turn out to be completely correct," the announcement concludes.
